Universal Folding Car Sun Protector

Main thing is it’s relatively easy to open and close quickly and store. It’s leatherette pouch is bigger and wider than the sleeve over an umbrella in part as you won’t be carrying it around in a purse or bag. I was hoping it would be a little more robust with thicker fabric and arms for the same reason ( no need to carry a lot), but it seems about as strong as a $5 umbrella. It isn’t wide enough for an older VW Vanagon and fitting behind mirror is an issue. I have a Honda Element with no interior mirror and I think it would do well in such a car. Not sure if really better than a good quality folding sunscreen. Time May tell. Certainly this has MANY MORE parts that can fail. Simple is often better. Placing something outside over the windshield is more effective especially if you out of car for hours as glass doesn’t get as hot either. Glass is a ceramic and transmits heat well.
